Experiência muito positiva na Ilha Saona com excelente animação! (4/5) O dia começou muito bem com transporte privado até ao ponto de embarque, sem complicações logísticas. Trajeto e Animação: A viagem de catamarã foi excelente! Apesar de vir relativamente cheio, a equipa manteve o ambiente impecável com animação constante e bebidas sempre disponíveis. Recomiendo mucho esta excursión, con niños pequeños también. Ha sido una experiencia muy bonita, y todo el personal que nos ha atendido desde que nos han recogido en la puerta del hotel (Willy), especial mención para el maravilloso guía que nos ha acompañado en todo momento (Choco Baby), animación del catamarán, y los conductores tanto del catamarán como de la lancha rápida. I highly recommend this excursion, even with young children. It was a wonderful experience, and all the staff who assisted us from the moment we were picked up at the hotel (Willy) were fantastic. A special mention goes to the amazing guide who accompanied us throughout (Choco Baby), the catamaran entertainment team, and the drivers of both the catamaran and the speedboat. Coordinación mala entre los tripulantes, la única persona que se encargó de que la excursión fuese bien fue Cris, una de las chicas. A la hora de comer no querían venir los compañeros a por los clientes, fruto de una discusión que tuvieron entre ellos, lo que provocó que llegásemos tarde a la comida, y no pudiésemos hacer las paradas previstas. También el capitán no quería hacer la parada del baño, quería llegar pronto a puerto, lo escuchamos perfectamente, porque creía que nadie le entendía.

Poor coordination among the crew; the only person who made sure the excursion ran smoothly was Cris, one of the girls. At lunchtime, the other crew members didn't want to come and get the clients, the result of an argument they had amongst themselves. This caused us to arrive late for lunch and miss the planned stops. The captain also didn't want to make the bathroom stop; he wanted to get back to port quickly. We heard him clearly because he thought no one understood him.

Passage on a small motorboat was very painful and violent. Stop at a natural pool (20 min) 50 m from the starfish. Impossible to see them. Too much delay. All'ultimo momento ci hanno informato che anziché l'escursione in catamarano che avevamo prenotato, l'avremmo fatta in barca veloce. Abbiamo accettato trattandosi di un up-grade gratuito e siamo rimasti soddisfatti! Abbiamo visto più cose con questo itinerario che prevede 4 soste in spiagge bellissime. Nonostante la giornata festiva con tantissima gente in partenza sulle barche dal porto di Bayahibe, il nostro capitano ha seguito un itinerario lontano dalla folla! Bravissima la guida Cris. At the last minute, they informed us that instead of the catamaran excursion we had booked, we would be taking a speedboat. We accepted, as it was a free upgrade, and we were delighted! We saw more with this itinerary, which included four stops at beautiful beaches. Posto bellissimo, personale ‘frizzante’, si ride e balla con musica a tutto volume, ma al rientro il catamarano era troppo affollato.

Hay mucha gente tanto en las piscinas naturales como en la Isla Saona. Nos dieron instrucciones de que la reunión para la partida sería a las 15:20 y a las 15:10 el barco estaba saliendo. Me parece algo realmente importante porque si alguien estuviese alejado del punto de partida se hubiese quedado en la playa. Poco control hacia los clientes.

There were a lot of people both at the natural pools and on Saona Island. We were told that the meeting point for departure would be at 3:20 PM, but by 3:10 PM the boat was already leaving. I think this is really important because if someone had been far from the departure point, they would have been left on the beach. There was very little supervision of the customers.
